		<description>There&#039;s a method of underpainting that I&#039;ve read about recently that involves several steps--

1. Sienna monotone
2. Complement underpainting (So green on red things, blue on yellow things, and so on.)
3. Alla Prima glazes of true final color
4. Dry/Sand
5. Final glazes

This technique is popular in colored pencil  paintings, too.

I&#039;ve been doing grisaille digitally lately, because it&#039;s much easier for me to figure out value separately from color.</description>
